IR Tech developed, enhanced, and maintained PC MIMMS (Marine Corps Integrated Maintenance Management System) software application for the Marine Corps Logistics Command (LOGCOM). This application provided the Marine Corps with a deployable ground supply and maintenance capability and a front end to MIMMS within garrison. It was a management tool to conduct ground equipment maintenance, establish effective maintenance management programs, manage equipment repair status data as well as timely information on equipment undergoing repair, and provide management reports that assist the user in identifying problems and taking corrective actions. The PC MIMMS application was built using a Java J2EE environment, utilized Oracle’s OC4J application server container for managing business logic and web page generation, a web-based user interface, an Oracle database, and operates as a light-weight client on NMCI desktops.
The upgraded version of PC MIMMS was deployed to over 4,000 users worldwide and was proven to be stable and responsive in the field. IR Tech later upgraded the technology stack to operate as a multi-user system for Marine Corps servers in order to facilitate data integration, real-time data sharing and automated feeds to external systems. The server version was designed to operate under low bandwidth/high latency network conditions.
